Royal Caribbean has significantly expanded its non-alcoholic drink options, and this is one of those changes that is easy to miss until you start looking at the menus.
According to Royal Caribbean’s beverage team, the cruise line has grown from roughly 15 to 20 mocktails to more than 50 zero-proof drinks across the fleet. The shift accelerated with the Icon Class, where Royal Caribbean began developing non-alcoholic drinks specifically for individual bars rather than simply taking an existing cocktail and leaving out the alcohol.
I noticed this firsthand on my last Royal Caribbean cruise.
There were dedicated Zero Proof sections on drink menus around the ship, including everything from simple fruit-based mocktails to drinks made with non-alcoholic spirits, plus non-alcoholic beer and wine.
And one night at Trellis Bar, I ordered one myself.
It was getting later, I did not necessarily want another alcoholic drink, but I still wanted something with a little more flavor and interest than water or soda. Having an actual zero-proof cocktail made for that exact purpose was a nice option.

Examples of Royal Caribbean Zero-Proof Drinks
The exact drinks vary by ship and bar, but these are some of the zero-proof options I photographed onboard:
- Tropical Crush
- Berry Press
- Passion Starlight
- Coconut Lime Refresher
- Crave the Wave
- All Aboard Spritz
- Watermelon Mint Lemonade
- Blueberry Nojito
- Shirley Ginger
- Citrus Tonic
- Lush Life
- Peach Perfect
- Mule Kickback
- Mai Spice
- Espresso No-Tini
Some are built around juices and syrups, while others use non-alcoholic spirits such as Seedlip.

How Much Do Royal Caribbean Mocktails Cost?
Pricing varies by ship and bar, but the menus I photographed give a useful example.
Many of the simpler zero-proof cocktails were listed around $7 each.
More elaborate drinks made with non-alcoholic spirits were around $10 each.
Royal Caribbean can change onboard pricing, so use those numbers as examples rather than fixed fleetwide prices.
An 18% gratuity is typically added when beverages are purchased individually onboard.

Does the Royal Caribbean Refreshment Package Include Mocktails?
Yes. Royal Caribbean specifically lists non-alcoholic cocktails, or mocktails, as included with the Refreshment Package.
The Refreshment Package currently includes:
- fountain soda
- mocktails
- bottled still and sparkling water
- premium coffees and teas
- fresh-squeezed juice
- Johnny Rockets milkshakes
Royal Caribbean also notes that, beginning March 15, 2026, the Coca-Cola Freestyle cup is no longer automatically included with the Refreshment Package. Guests who want to use the Freestyle machines can purchase a cup onboard for $4.99.
For someone who does not drink alcohol but still wants specialty drinks throughout the cruise, the Refreshment Package can make much more sense than it might initially appear.
Does the Deluxe Beverage Package Include Zero-Proof Drinks?
Yes. Royal Caribbean’s Deluxe Beverage Package includes non-alcoholic cocktails along with alcoholic drinks.
That means someone who purchased the Deluxe Beverage Package does not need to order alcohol every time they want something interesting.
The package includes:
- cocktails
- spirits and liqueurs
- beer
- wine by the glass
- mocktails
- premium coffee and tea
- bottled still and sparkling water
- fresh-squeezed juice
- smoothies and milkshakes where available
Royal Caribbean currently includes individual drinks valued up to $14 under the Deluxe Beverage Package.
This is exactly why I liked having a zero-proof option later in the evening. Even if you drink alcohol, there are times when you may want something fun and flavorful without ordering another cocktail.
Does Royal Caribbean Have Non-Alcoholic Beer?
Yes. On the menus I photographed, Royal Caribbean offered several non-alcoholic beers, including examples such as:
- Blue Moon Non-Alcoholic Belgian White
- Heineken 0.0
- Samuel Adams Just the Haze IPA
These were listed around $6.99 each on the menu I photographed.
Does Royal Caribbean Have Non-Alcoholic Wine?
Yes, at least on some ships and venues.
One of the menus I photographed included multiple non-alcoholic wine selections, including sparkling wine, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
Availability will vary by ship and bar, so I would not assume every venue will have the same options.
My Experience Ordering a Zero-Proof Drink at Trellis Bar
One of the reasons I wanted to write this article is because I actually used this option on my own cruise.
One evening at Trellis Bar, it was getting later and I did not really want another alcoholic cocktail.
But I also did not want another plain soda or water.
I ordered one of the zero-proof drinks instead, and it gave me exactly what I wanted: something with a more interesting flavor that still felt like part of the bar experience.
That is where I think Royal Caribbean’s expanded zero-proof menu really works.
You do not have to be someone who never drinks alcohol to appreciate it.
Sometimes you just want the drink without the alcohol.

Can You Order a Zero-Proof Drink Without a Beverage Package?
Yes. You do not need the Refreshment Package or Deluxe Beverage Package to order a mocktail.
You can simply purchase one individually.
Based on the menus I photographed, many were around $7, while drinks using non-alcoholic spirits were closer to $10.
That can be a good option for someone who only expects to order one or two specialty non-alcoholic drinks during the cruise.
Are Royal Caribbean Mocktails Just for Adults?
No. Many zero-proof drinks are simply non-alcoholic beverages made with juice, syrup, soda and other ingredients.
However, some zero-proof drinks may use specialty non-alcoholic spirits or ingredients that may not be allowed for kids.
If you are ordering for a child or teenager, asking the bartender what is in the drink is the easiest way to know exactly what you are getting.
Are Mocktails Included at Perfect Day at CocoCay?
Royal Caribbean beverage packages can also be used at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
That means if you have the Refreshment Package or Deluxe Beverage Package, eligible non-alcoholic drinks at CocoCay can also be included.
Specific menu options can vary from one bar to another.

Final Thoughts
Royal Caribbean’s zero-proof drink options have come a long way.
What used to feel like a small collection of basic mocktails has turned into a much broader category, with more than 50 options across the fleet, dedicated menu sections, non-alcoholic spirits, beer and wine.
And I think the biggest improvement is that these drinks are being treated as actual drinks in their own right.
They are not necessarily just cocktails with the alcohol removed.
Whether you do not drink at all, are taking a break from alcohol, bought the Refreshment Package, have the Deluxe Beverage Package, or just want something different later in the evening, it is worth looking at the Zero Proof section the next time you are onboard.
You may find a much better selection than you were expecting.
