Do not punch a hole in your Royal Caribbean SeaPass card! This is the card that you used to get in your state room and pay across the ship. Here’s what you can do instead #royalcaribbean#seapass#seapasscard#cruisetips#cruiseadvice

If you’re prepping for your Royal Caribbean cruise and wondering how to carry your SeaPass card — here’s the quick answer: you can’t poke a hole in it anymore. And here’s why that matters — plus what to do instead.

No More Hole-Punching

Royal Caribbean’s newer SeaPass cards no longer have a hole, and guests are no longer allowed to punch holes themselves. Doing so can damage the magnetic strip or chip on the card and cause it to stop working — which means it won’t open your stateroom door or let you make purchases on board.

That’s a major hassle you’ll want to avoid.

Your Best Alternatives

Here are three easy and stylish ways to keep your SeaPass card handy:

1. Lanyard with Waterproof Pouch:
These are the most common option — you’ll see plenty of cruisers using them. Choose a clear pouch that easily fits the SeaPass card. Bonus if it’s waterproof for poolside use.

2. Wristlet or Card Holder:
Some people prefer to keep their card in a small wristlet or card holder that zips securely and is easy to grab for meals, drinks, or shopping.

3. Wearable WOW Band (My Favorite Option):
For the ultimate convenience, buy a WOW Band once you’re onboard ($9.99). These are waterproof, reusable wristbands that link to your SeaPass account and work just like the card. No need for a lanyard — and no need to fumble with a card at the pool or dinner.

They also look a lot better with your outfits than a bright lanyard around your neck.

Final Tip: If you want to wear your SeaPass card, go for a pouch. If you want to ditch the card entirely, grab a WOW Band on board and enjoy a seamless, hands-free cruise.
