If you’re not in a rush to catch a flight after your cruise, you might be wondering: how long can I actually stay on the ship? Here’s what you need to know if you want to be the last one off (and keep enjoying those included snacks while you can!).

🕗 What Time Do You Have to Leave Your Room?

Royal Caribbean asks all guests to vacate their staterooms by 8:00 AM on disembarkation day. You can still hang out elsewhere on the ship, but your room will be locked after that time, so plan accordingly.

🍳 Can You Still Eat Breakfast?

Yes! Complimentary breakfast is usually available until 8:30 or 9:00 AM, depending on the ship and venue. Windjammer (the buffet) often stays open the latest, but Main Dining Room breakfast is only offered if you’re in a later disembarkation group.

🧳 What Do You Do With Your Luggage?

If you kept your luggage overnight, you’ll need to carry it off with you. If you used Royal’s luggage tags and left your bags out the night before, you’ll pick them up in the terminal after your group is called.

🛳️ How Late Can You Actually Leave?

Guests are usually asked to disembark by 9:00 to 9:30 AM, depending on how quickly the ship clears customs and how efficiently groups are moving. You’ll be assigned a disembarkation time, but if you’re in no hurry, choose a later group number and hang out in a designated lounge or the buffet until you’re called.

🎯 Insider Tip:

If you really want to maximize your last morning, pack a small “carry off” bag with essentials and leave your suitcase out the night before. That way, you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast, a coffee refill, and one last walk around the deck before heading out.

And don’t feel like you have to head to the airport and wait all day if you have a late flight. There are plenty of Day Pass options in cities near each port.
